Don't lend you mind for free, Learn to say NO

Let’s face it! Many people just seem to have great difficulty in saying “no” or denying any favor asked from them. As a result, they often find themselves trapped in the middle of nowhere because of their own hastened decision or acceptance of an unfavorable task - just because at one particular point in their life, they were afraid to say “no.”

For those who are constantly faced with this problem, the following Steps will show to be beneficial.

1. Do not occupy yourself with things that do not bother you.

If you usually engage in something you hardly know anything in this area, you are making your situation far worse than the one who does nothing at all. On the other hand, some people seem to get satisfaction by intervening in other people’s business. Always be alert and possess utmost care to ensure that no one meddles in your own affairs. Good moderation in all areas of life will be helpful in the end.

2. Decide initially whether a task is worth your precious time.

Just a simple philosophy: If it will just consume your time away from the more valuable things you consider in your life, then it’s not worth your time.

3. Keep away from incurring obligations beyond your competence.

As an alternative, nurture your skills and abilities for the time being. There will come a right time for you to step up; and when that great minute arrives, waste no opportunity. But as long as you are not sure of the outcome, say “no” for the meantime especially if the favor will just derail your strategy.

4. It is always Difficult to come out well from an incurred undesirable obligation than to avoid the embarrassing situation of not committing yourself from the very start.

It is a judgment test for anyone. Ask this question to yourself, “Do I plan to avoid them or conquer them?

5. If you have to think, take a break and take your time.

Matters that can cause an adverse change in your life require a lot of thinking. There are times when people act on first impulse, on what they feel and think at that very instant. Certainly, this is not always the case.

Although less commonly recognized to people, acquiring tasks (no matter how effortless they may well seem) is synonymous to putting your honor at stake when you allow yourself to be involved. Be sure that as soon as you put your name and honor on the line, everything will end up well.

It takes as much courage for a person to earn a accountability as to deny it. Whatever you decide on, continuously keep in mind that there is nothing immoral in saying “no.” When in doubt, it may even be the greatest thing to act.

Who Determines Your True Worth?

Various say your JOB since they pay you a salary or hourly wage and offer (or do not offer) profit, perks, etc.

Some say the vehicle you drive, the house you live in, the region you live, your associates, your clothes, where you hang out, and on and on.

You hold natural talents or skills, folks that seem to be inherent inside you. Getting along with folks straightforwardly, being able to logically figure things out, skill to focus and stay paying attention, being organized, making things take place, etc. And after that you have your learned (acquired) talents or skills from attending College, reading and listening to tapes, attending seminars, On the Job Training (OJT), being tutored by someone, etc.

But these talents or skills do not determine your True Worth.

The truth of the concern it is you who determines your real Worth. You determine what you are really worth. It is by your action or inaction, by not making a decision which is inside itself a decision. Following through on your dreams and wishes or not. It is all up to you.

You can read all the books, listen to all the tapes, attend all the seminars or listen to all the tele-conferences but With no arrangement, with no action (I know this from own experience) you are determining your worth by your inaction.

You need to hope again remember those dreams you had as a teenager? Hope again and bring the adult dreams out. After that you need to visualize the dreams by giving them a present tense as if you are living them at the moment. Use the visualization to create your goals in all areas of your life, not just possessions. Your goal setting ought to include at least the six major areas of life that you need to take action on. An action plan is needed to put in motion the activities that will allow you to complete your goals.

Keeping track of what activities you are working on requires a on a daily basis planner and a journal to record your every day feelings and ideas. The every day planner allows you to see your plan in action but the journal gives you a record of how you start out and how you grow and turn into what your vision says you are.

Even while using the tools mentioned is there something else that could sustain you back from achieving your true worth? What is you inner talk like? What are you saying that could be holding your back? Changing your inner talk requires various assistance, that is where affirmations come into play. Reading your affirmation every day help to replace your inner talk and thinking patterns.

If there is unforgiveness, anger, resentment or bitterness against anyone or a situation it could be creating an artery clog to your future and your real worth. Make a list of any person you feel you need to forgive, you don't need to face them in person to forgive them, just make the list and burn it, shred it, or throw it away and move on.

Achieving your true worth is an amazing journey, for you will see yourself move from wherever you are to where your vision takes you. Is it a single day or week or month journey, it is uncommon for everyone, but it takes time and commitment to start and continue on this adventure. You will discover that as you realize you are worth more than you imagined your goals, imagination and affirmations will change. The great part is that with your journal you will have a record of this journey to encourage you as you see the results both small and large in your beliefs.

To accomplish Your exact Worth, you need a strategy (a system) that will assist you in starting, planning and organizing and keeping track of  your new adventure. Once started it just takes focus, desire and action on your part to start moving forward. Hesitation or indecision will leave you where you are, but action will assist you in moving forward with your life. So take action today and enjoy your future.
